UP FEIT Architecture Program Earns Prestigious UNESCO-UIA International Accreditation
The full, unconditional accreditation concludes a rigorous two-year evaluation process—an honour currently held by only 11 institutions worldwide.
One of the highest awards the Interior and
Spatial Design MA program of the University of Pécs has received was awarded to
master's students participating in the international Buildner Architecture
Competition.
The “Las Vegas Affordable Housing Challenge” competition
called for projects that create new ways to reduce housing prices. The
designers were asked to present a flexible, innovative, pilot-phase concept for
affordable housing in Las Vegas. One team of students from the Faculty of
Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Pécs, MA in
Interior and Spatial Design, received an honorable mention, and the projects of
three teams were among the top twenty.
The Dubai Expo also
saw the unveiling of the faculty's most complex and holistic architectural
project, a solar-powered house model, which was designed for the 2019 Solar
Decathlon. This project will be developed further for the 2022 World Solar
Decathlon in Wuppertal, Germany.
The Wuhan Design Week takes place in a
reclaimed industrial environment in Wuhan, China, a city with a population 13
million people, and our Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology was
invited to present last year's New Normal, New City workshop.
