UP FEIT Architecture Program Earns Prestigious UNESCO-UIA International Accreditation

The Institute of Architecture at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (UP FEIT), has been awarded the prestigious UNESCO–UIA Architectural Education Accreditation, administered by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
The full, unconditional accreditation concludes a rigorous two-year evaluation process—an honour currently held by only 11 institutions worldwide.

Prof. Dr. Gabriella Medvegy, Dean of the PTE MIK (UP FEIT), joins the Presidency of the Hungarian Chamber of Architects

At the end of October, the Hungarian Chamber of Architects held an election assembly to choose the new members of its leadership. The presidency held its inaugural meeting already in mid-November. The mandate of the body lasts for four years. 
Our Faculty is filled with pride that Prof. Dr. Gabriella Medvegy, our dean, will hold one of the vice-presidential positions of the Chamber of Hungarian Architects in the upcoming term. We wish her great success in her work!

Interior design students honored at Las Vegas architecture competition

One of the highest awards the Interior and Spatial Design MA program of the University of Pécs has received was awarded to master's students participating in the international Buildner Architecture Competition.
The “Las Vegas Affordable Housing Challenge” competition called for projects that create new ways to reduce housing prices. The designers were asked to present a flexible, innovative, pilot-phase concept for affordable housing in Las Vegas. One team of students from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Pécs, MA in Interior and Spatial Design, received an honorable mention, and the projects of three teams were among the top twenty.

Stipendium Hungaricum call for applications for 2022/23 academic year

The Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program was established by the Hungarian Government to promote the internationalization of Hungarian higher education and to attract top foreign students from all around the world who can establish personal and professional attachments to Hungary while enjoying high-quality education in the heart of Europe.

The next application period for Stipendium Hungaricum is from 15 November 2021 to 15 Jan 2022 for the academic year of 2022/2023.
