Two of our professors honoured with State Awards on the occasion of the National Holiday

Vitályos, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, and
Magdolna Závogyán, State Secretary for Culture, awarded the Commander's Cross
of the Hungarian Order of Merit, the Officer's Cross of the Hungarian Order of
Merit, the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit, the Hungarian
Gold Cross of Merit, the Hungarian Silver Cross of Merit, the Hungarian
Bronze Cross of Merit, the Miklós Bánffy Award, the György Bessenyei
Award, the Mihály Csokonai Vitéz Award, the György Martin Award, the
Ferenc Móra Award, the Young Master of Folk Art Award, the Master of Folk Art
Award, the Gyula Pauler Award, the Pro Cultura Hungarica Award, and the József
Szinnyei Award at the Pesti Vigadó.
Two of our colleagues were awarded prestigious state orders at the ceremony.
Prof. Sándor DÉVÉNYI, Artist of the Nation, an architect with Kossuth, Miklós Ybl and Pro Architectura Awards, a full member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, professor emeritus of the University of Pécs, was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit for civilians, in recognition of his outstanding professional work.
Prof. Bálint BACHMANN, Ybl Miklós Award-winning architect, Rector of the Budapest Metropolitan University, Head of the Marcel Breuer Doctoral School of the University of Pécs, full professor, was awarded Officer's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit for civilians in recognition of his outstanding work.
