Turai Geothermal Power Plant job

We are looking for new employees for the operating team of our Turai Geothermal Power Plant with an immediate start!

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Independent operation of the main and auxiliary equipment of the electricity generator.

• Ensuring the functionality of technical devices and protecting their condition.

• Carrying out regular checks during operation and basic maintenance.

• Performing troubleshooting tasks.

• Supervision of works with external partners for ad hoc maintenance tasks.

• In the event of malfunctions, measures are taken to eliminate the malfunction quickly, coordination of operational tasks.

• Network - MVM NEXT - contact with the dispatch center and authorities.

• Administration of the power plant cycle processes (maintenance of data sheets, diaries, preparation of maintenance plans, preparation and updating of error lists.

• Independent supervision and cleanliness of the assigned area.

• Good technical affinity, problem-solving ability, commitment.


Our expectations:

• Independence, decisiveness, ability to mobilize partners, management of small teams.

• Independent responsible work.

• 0-24 hour availability on scheduled working days.

(8 hours of on-site presence + 16 hours of home duty/on-call.)

• Energy, technical specialization, minimum secondary education.

(Thermal engineer technician; Power plant block engineer;)

• At least 3 years of experience in operating power plant systems.

• Technical, energetic, environmental protection and fire protection knowledge.

• Practical and solution-oriented thinking.

• Good communication skill.

• Good communication skills in English.

• Adaptation to extraordinary working conditions.


Required qualification:

• Minimum secondary education.

• Degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering

• Intermediate English language skills

Required experience:

• 1-3 years of professional experience in power plant, electricity generation systems operation.

It is an advantage:

• Time spent in shift / continuous shift.

• In addition to the required qualifications, electrical I; II; or substation operator qualification.;

• Address in the vicinity of the workplace.

• Experience in maintenance.

• English knowledge

Other general information:

Recognizing the market opportunity to increase the share of renewables in the constantly changing energy mix, the KS ORKA - TURWELL company group recently made its investment in Hungary. Between 2016 and 2017, the project, which was based on a thermal water base, was approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as a green field investment of major importance from the point of view of the national economy. The small power plant built in the city of Tura in Pest County and put into operation in 2018 is the first industrial unit using geothermal energy in Hungary, which produces electricity in addition to heat energy services, and is also the first Central European geothermal unit of the parent companies of KS ORKA and KAISHAN GROUP.

Using the experiences of the past period, wedeveloped our development strategy, the licensing process of which has begun, and we are about to implement new power plant and greenhouse projects.
