Programming hackathon by ArubaCloud and ITBUSINESS
The leading European cloud service provider
ArubaCloud and Hungary’s market-leading B2B infocommunications magazine,
ITBUSINESS, are organizing a joint hackathon for programmers at the end of
October this year, in order to contribute to the discovery and development of
IT talents in Hungary.
Teams of 3-5 people representing their educational institution can apply
for the 24-hour programming competition. At the hackathon, a task developed by
an ArubaCloud specialists will have to be solved in ArubaCloud’s cloud
environment.
The hackathon for programmers will start on Saturday, October 28,
2023 at 9 am.
Participation in the competition has many advantages for students:
- gives you the opportunity to get in personal, direct contact with
professionals working in the IT sector, investors, and representatives of the
most important industry companies
- they can compare their knowledge and creativity with that of other talented
students in front of an international jury
- they can represent their university in the competition
- contributes to their future career and professional resume
Conditions for participation:
- Teams of 3-5 people representing their higher education institution can
enter the competition.
- A maximum of 3 teams can be entered from one university.
- All applicants must have active student status.
- Application deadline: August 31, 2023.
- To enter, if the number of entered teams is higher than 6, a qualifier is
organized, where the teams must prepare a short essay and a few-minute
introductory video. Based on their submitted works, the teams will be judged
and ranked by a professional jury after the entry deadline (August 31).
- In the hackathon final, 6 teams, that in the qualifier submitted the
highest-quality material based on the jury’s evaluation, will fight for the
win.
- The team and team members are registered by the team captain on the
REGISTRATION FORM
- Any programming language can be use on the hackathon.
- It will be possible to use your own device (laptop) at the hackathon, but
the organizers will provide a device if required.
- The task to be performed at the hackathon must be developed in a cloud
environment.
- The necessary cloud service will be provided to the competitors by
ArubaCloud.
