PARTICIPATION IN RESEARCH PROJECTS:
- 2022 - … Preparing the establishment of the CLIMATE+ Research Group. A common objective for all EU Member
States, set out in a regulation, is that the EU should become climate neutral by 2050, i.e. that its economic
activities should not cause greenhouse gas emissions. Today's energy crisis, the difficulty of accessing fossil
fuels in wartime, and the price of acquired energy resources are accelerating the societal need to green our
energy supply and to manage the energy demand and supply of our homes in such a way that the additional energy
input to buildings is the lowest possible compared to optimal use. This will require a step change in both the
ecological and sustainability objectives of engineering thinking and the awareness of society. The CLIMATE+
Research Group aims, in line with the EU 2050 targets and today's energy crisis:
- Develop climate-positive homes (C+Home) with a positive life-cycle energy balance based on green renewable energy sources. The planned prototype modular building systems, which will be developed into a product, will have an emission balance of zero for operation and close to zero for life cycle.
- Development of environmentally friendly - energy positive building materials in the technological
spirit of the Circular Economy:
- Recycling of construction waste, development of new RE8 building materials in line with the CLEANTECH programme - technology developments
- Development of new generation, natural-based building materials ÖKODESIGN
- Development of new product lines by enhancing existing products
- 2021 - … CLEAN Technologies. The areas covered by my research work are the development of building materials/technologies/products whose creation and operation are at least environmentally neutral, i.e. with zero emissions
- 2019 - … Ecological sustainability in the built environment
The research has reached its current stage of development during the Solar Decathlon competitions. The aim: Develop climate-positive homes (C+Home) with a positive life-cycle energy balance based on green renewable energy sources. The planned prototype modular building systems, which will be developed into a product, will have an emission balance of zero for operation and close to zero for life cycle. - 2015 Developing teaching materials:
With the titles ‘Sustainable Development Management / Built Environment’ educational materials financed by the ZENFE competition (2015). - 2012 - ... Cultural heritage protection in the Hungarian settlements of Transylvania. The aim of the research is to explore and document the built and intangible heritage of Énlaka and the 18 surrounding settlements. The architectural heritage of the village of Énlaka is unique among the intact folk architectural monuments of the 19th and 20th centuries. More than 90% of the buildings in the settlement are intact and in their original form, while the painted wooden-plastered Unitarian church has a cassette-inscribed runic heritage that cannot be found anywhere else. The built heritage of the settlement would merit UNESCO protection on its own, like its counterparts in Raven Stone (H) and Torocko (Ro), but it also complements the outstanding heritage of the Dacia Limes, one of whose fortresses is located on the hillside above the village. It is an unconcealed aim of the research that these two sites should be placed together under World Heritage protection in the future.
- 2006 - …. Cultural heritage protection in the Hungarian settlements of Croatia. The research of the built and spiritual heritage of the Hungarians in Drávasög and Slavonia (Croatia) is part of a complex programme carried out by the University of Pécs' professors and students of architecture, ethnography and sociology. The aim of the research is to preserve and scientifically analyse the values of Hungarians living outside the borders of Hungary and to use the research results to maintain and strengthen the national identity of the dispersed Hungarians living in the diaspora.

Horvátországi magyarság épített öröksége "értékmegőrzés - értékteremtés"
A horvátországi magyarság épített örökségének feltárásán keresztül, kutatjuk a lakó -és középületek évszázados formai és funkcionális fejlődését, a legelső megjelenési formáktól napjainkig. Tesszük ezt, néprajzos kollegákkal együtt dolgozva, a települések és épületek léptékére egyaránt vonatkoztatva, a gazdasági, történelmi, demográfiai, ipari és minden egyéb változások függvényében, a múltat és a jelent áthidaló időintervallum tükrében.
A kutatások eredményeit felhasználva fejlesztési koncepcióterveket készítünk a megmaradt épített értékek megóvására, funkcionális feltöltésére, új épületek létrehozására.

A kutatási projektben ezeket a kihívásokat vizsgáljuk különböző építészeti projekteken keresztül.
