The properties of certain structural materials change over time, resulting in changes and rearrangements in the internal forces of the structures.
The development of the topic will involve the identification of property variations specific to the chosen structure or type of structure and the monitoring of the change in strength of the structure(s) by means of strength calculations and finite element modelling.
Investigation of power play rearrangement in old historic buildings of listed or semi-listed character
Reinforcing the load-bearing capacity of old historic buildings of a listed or listed nature for unchanged function.
Buildings were constructed using old experience or design standards appropriate to the period. These often do not meet today's needs. The development of the topic should identify the changes in demand for the chosen building or type of building and, on the basis of the EC, design the optimal reinforcement to match the increase in demand, either by means of a new solution or by comparing and improving existing reinforcement technologies.
Reinforcement of the load-bearing capacity of old historic or listed buildings with significantly increased load requirements.
The existing structure must then be supplemented with a new load-bearing part. When designing the reinforcement, geometric and aesthetic requirements must be met in addition to ensuring the load-bearing capacity. The structural and functional requirements of the chosen structure or type of structure should be identified during the design phase and a reinforcement should be designed with the optimum geometry and minimum weight. The task thus leads to the topic of topology optimisation.
